Botox® in Boca Raton, FL
Pearl Med Spa is a medical aesthetics practice in Boca Raton, Florida, offering Botox® Cosmetic treatments following an individualized consultation. Our approach focuses on individualized treatment planning, precise placement and natural-looking results while preserving appropriate facial movement.
What is Botox®?
Botox® is a prescription injectable made from purified botulinum toxin type A. It is used to temporarily reduce the appearance of certain dynamic lines — the wrinkles that form from repeated muscle movement, such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet. At Pearl Med Spa, this wrinkle relaxer is placed strategically and dosed for your anatomy to soften expression lines while preserving natural facial movement, with little to no downtime.
Benefits
Ideal Candidates
Adults who want to soften expression lines, help prevent lines from deepening, or address areas such as the jawline or neck bands — without surgery. Suitability is confirmed during your consultation.

Book NowNatural-Looking Botox® in Boca Raton
At Pearl Med Spa, Botox® is about refinement, not transformation. Every face moves differently, so every treatment starts with an assessment of your facial anatomy, muscle strength and natural expressions.
From there, your provider plans strategic placement and individualized dosing designed to soften the lines you want to address while preserving appropriate facial movement — so you still look like yourself. Results vary from person to person, and your provider will talk through realistic expectations with you.
Botox® Treatment Areas
Pearl Med Spa offers Botox® for the following areas, subject to provider assessment, product labeling and Pearl's clinical protocols. Approved indications and off-label uses vary by area: areas not marked as an FDA-approved indication are off-label uses, which your provider will discuss with you. Your provider will recommend the areas and dosage appropriate for your anatomy and goals.
- Forehead lines
- Softens horizontal lines that form when you raise your brows. An FDA-approved Botox® Cosmetic indication.
- Frown lines
- Relaxes the vertical "11s" between the brows that can make you look tense or tired. An FDA-approved Botox® Cosmetic indication.
- Crow's feet
- Smooths the fine lines that fan out from the outer corners of the eyes when you smile. An FDA-approved Botox® Cosmetic indication.
- Bunny lines
- Softens the small lines that appear on the sides of the nose when you scrunch.
- Brow lift
- Strategic placement can offer a subtle lift to the tail of the brow.
- Lip lines & lip flip
- Softens vertical lines around the mouth, or lets the upper lip gently roll outward for a subtly fuller look.
- Gummy smile
- Relaxes the muscle that lifts the upper lip so less gum shows when you smile.
- DAO (downturned mouth corners)
- Relaxes the muscle that pulls the corners of the mouth downward.
- Chin dimpling
- Smooths the "orange-peel" texture that can appear on the chin.
- Jawline / masseter
- Relaxes the jaw muscles to help soften and slim the lower face and support facial balancing.
- Neck & platysmal bands
- Relaxes the vertical bands of the neck to help soften their appearance. Moderate to severe platysma bands are an FDA-approved Botox® Cosmetic indication.
- Trapezius (TrapTox)
- Relaxes the trapezius muscles for a longer, more elegant neck and shoulder line.
- Brotox
- Botox® tailored for men, with dosing planned for typically stronger facial muscles and a natural, masculine result.
- Hyperhidrosis
- Where clinically appropriate, temporarily reduces excessive underarm sweating by blocking the signals to sweat glands. Botox® is FDA-approved for severe underarm sweating as a therapeutic (not cosmetic) indication.
Botox® Cosmetic: Approved Uses and How It Works
Botox® Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA) is a prescription botulinum toxin type A treatment used to temporarily improve the appearance of certain facial lines. It is FDA-approved for adults to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, crow's feet, forehead lines and platysma bands of the neck. The same active ingredient is also sold as Botox® for separate medical uses, such as severe underarm sweating, chronic migraine and certain muscle conditions. Not every use of Botox® is an FDA-approved indication, and some aesthetic areas are treated off-label at your provider's discretion.
How does it work?
Many lines on the face are caused by repeated muscle movement, like frowning or squinting. Botox® is placed in small amounts into specific muscles, where it temporarily reduces the nerve signals that tell those muscles to contract. As the muscles relax, the lines above them appear smoother. Over time the effect gradually wears off and normal muscle activity returns.
How Many Units of Botox® Do I Need?
There is no one-size-fits-all dose. The number of units recommended for you depends on:
- •Treatment area
- •Muscle activity
- •Facial anatomy
- •Previous Botox® treatment
- •Your individual goals
- •Your provider's assessment
As a general example only — not a prescription — a single area such as the frown lines may use fewer units than a combination of areas or a larger muscle like the masseter. Your provider will recommend a specific dose during your consultation.

- 05
Temporary effects
Small bumps, mild redness or occasional bruising at injection sites are possible and typically settle quickly.
- 06
Aftercare
Stay upright for at least 4 hours, avoid rubbing or pressing the treated areas and follow your personalized instructions.
- 07
Follow-up
Your results develop over the following days and weeks, and we can review them with you at follow-up.
When Does Botox® Start Working?
Onset varies from person to person. Many patients begin to notice softening within several days, and results continue to develop progressively over approximately 1–2 weeks. Masseter Botox® and TrapTox may take several weeks to show their full aesthetic effect.
How Long Does Botox® Last?
Botox® results commonly last around 3–4 months. Duration varies by person, treatment area, dose and muscle activity, and many patients schedule maintenance treatments as movement gradually returns.
Who Is a Candidate for Botox®?
Botox® may be appropriate for adults who want to soften expression lines or address selected areas such as the jawline or neck bands. Not everyone is a candidate. Before recommending treatment, your provider reviews:
- •Your medical history and any neuromuscular conditions
- •Current medications and supplements
- •Previous Botox® or other injectable treatments
- •Your goals and the look you prefer
- •Possible contraindications, such as infection at the injection site or allergy to any ingredient
- •Pregnancy or breastfeeding, during which treatment is generally not recommended
What Results Should You Expect?
Results appear gradually and are temporary. Many patients notice softening within several days, with results developing over approximately 1–2 weeks and commonly lasting around 3–4 months. Response varies by person, area and dose. At follow-up, your provider may suggest adjustments, or advise that additional treatment is not appropriate. Results are not guaranteed.
Recovery and Aftercare
Most patients return to their day right away. Temporary redness, swelling, bruising, headache or localized tenderness at injection sites can occur and typically settle on their own. For the best results, stay upright for at least 4 hours, avoid rubbing or pressing the treated areas and follow your personalized instructions from your Pearl provider.
Contact Pearl at (561) 334-2921 if you notice bruising or swelling that worsens, drooping of the eyelid or brow, or anything that concerns you. Call 911 or seek emergency care right away for difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing, or for widespread muscle weakness.
Botox® Safety and Risks
Botox® is a prescription treatment that requires a qualified medical assessment and appropriate administration. Possible side effects include injection-site discomfort, bruising, headache, eyelid or brow drooping and, uncommonly, dry eye or flu-like symptoms. Botox® carries a warning that its effect can spread beyond the injection area, which may cause symptoms hours to weeks after treatment, including loss of strength, blurred or double vision, hoarseness, or difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing — seek medical care immediately if these occur.
Treatment is not appropriate if you are allergic to any botulinum toxin product or have an infection at the planned injection site. For complete information, read the official Botox® Cosmetic prescribing information and ask your treating provider for guidance specific to you.
Botox® vs. Dysport® vs. Xeomin®
Botox®, Dysport® and Xeomin® are different botulinum toxin type A products, all used to soften dynamic expression lines. None is universally better. The right choice depends on your anatomy, treatment area, desired outcome, provider assessment and how you have responded in the past.
Botox®
The most widely known neuromodulator, used across a broad range of facial and body areas.
At Pearl: $10–$13 per unit

At Pearl: $3.50–$4.50 per unit
Explore Dysport® →Xeomin®
A highly purified formulation with accessory proteins removed, leaving only the active ingredient.
At Pearl: $9–$12 per unit
