    Natural-Looking Xeomin® in Boca Raton

At Pearl Med Spa, Xeomin® is about refinement, not transformation. Every face moves differently, so every treatment starts with an assessment of your facial anatomy, muscle strength and natural expressions.

From there, your provider plans strategic placement and individualized dosing designed to soften the lines you want to address while preserving appropriate facial movement — so you still look like yourself. Results vary from person to person, and your provider will talk through realistic expectations with you.

    Where We Treat

    Xeomin® Treatment Areas

Pearl Med Spa offers Xeomin® for the following areas, subject to provider assessment, product labeling and Pearl's clinical protocols. Approved indications and off-label uses vary by area: areas not marked as an FDA-approved indication are off-label uses, which your provider will discuss with you. Your provider will recommend the areas and dosage appropriate for your anatomy and goals.

    Forehead lines
Softens horizontal lines that form when you raise your brows.
    Frown lines
Relaxes the vertical "11s" between the brows that can make you look tense or tired. Moderate to severe frown lines are the FDA-approved Xeomin® indication.
    Crow's feet
Smooths the fine lines that fan out from the outer corners of the eyes when you smile.
    Bunny lines
Softens the small lines that appear on the sides of the nose when you scrunch.
    Brow lift
Strategic placement can offer a subtle lift to the tail of the brow.
    Lip lines & lip flip
Softens vertical lines around the mouth, or lets the upper lip gently roll outward for a subtly fuller look.
    Gummy smile
Relaxes the muscle that lifts the upper lip so less gum shows when you smile.
    DAO (downturned mouth corners)
Relaxes the muscle that pulls the corners of the mouth downward.
    Chin dimpling
Smooths the "orange-peel" texture that can appear on the chin.
    Jawline / masseter
Relaxes the jaw muscles to help soften and slim the lower face and support facial balancing.
    Neck & platysmal bands
Relaxes the vertical bands of the neck to help soften their appearance.
    Trapezius (TrapTox)
Relaxes the trapezius muscles for a longer, more elegant neck and shoulder line.
    Hyperhidrosis
Where clinically appropriate, temporarily reduces excessive underarm sweating by blocking the signals to sweat glands.

Xeomin®: Approved Uses and How It Works

Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA) is a prescription botulinum toxin type A treatment used to temporarily improve the appearance of certain facial lines. It is FDA-approved for adults to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. Its purification process removes accessory (complexing) proteins, leaving the active ingredient — a formulation some patients and providers prefer. Not every aesthetic use of Xeomin® is an FDA-approved indication, and some areas are treated off-label at your provider's discretion.

    How does it work?

Many lines on the face are caused by repeated muscle movement, like frowning or squinting. Xeomin® is placed in small amounts into specific muscles, where it temporarily reduces the nerve signals that tell those muscles to contract. As the muscles relax, the lines above them appear smoother. Over time the effect gradually wears off and normal muscle activity returns.

How Many Units of Xeomin® Do I Need?

There is no one-size-fits-all dose. The number of units recommended for you depends on:

    • •Treatment area
    • •Muscle activity
    • •Facial anatomy
    • •Previous wrinkle relaxer treatment
    • •Your individual goals
    • •Your provider's assessment

Units are specific to each product, so your provider plans your Xeomin® dose directly rather than converting it from another brand. As a general example only — not a prescription — a single area such as the frown lines may use fewer units than a combination of areas or a larger muscle like the masseter.

      Temporary effects

Small bumps, mild redness or occasional bruising at injection sites are possible and typically settle quickly.

    6. 06

      Aftercare

Stay upright for at least 4 hours, avoid rubbing or pressing the treated areas and follow your personalized instructions.

    7. 07

      Follow-up

Your results develop over the following days and weeks, and we can review them with you at follow-up.

    When Does Xeomin® Start Working?

Onset varies from person to person. Many patients begin to notice softening within several days, and results continue to develop progressively over approximately 1–2 weeks. Masseter and trapezius treatments may take several weeks to show their full aesthetic effect.

    How Long Does Xeomin® Last?

Xeomin® results commonly last around 3–4 months. Duration varies by person, treatment area, dose and muscle activity, and many patients schedule maintenance treatments as movement gradually returns.

    Is It Right for You?

Who Is a Candidate for Xeomin®?

Xeomin® may be appropriate for adults who want to soften expression lines or address selected areas such as the jawline or neck bands. Not everyone is a candidate. Before recommending treatment, your provider reviews:

    • •Your medical history and any neuromuscular conditions
    • •Current medications and supplements
    • •Previous Xeomin®, Botox® or other injectable treatments
    • •Your goals and the look you prefer
    • •Possible contraindications, such as infection at the injection site or allergy to any ingredient
    • •Pregnancy or breastfeeding, during which treatment is generally not recommended

    What Results Should You Expect?

Results appear gradually and are temporary. Many patients notice softening within several days, with results developing over approximately 1–2 weeks and commonly lasting around 3–4 months. Response varies by person, area and dose. At follow-up, your provider may suggest adjustments, or advise that additional treatment is not appropriate. Results are not guaranteed.

    Recovery and Aftercare

Most patients return to their day right away. Temporary redness, swelling, bruising, headache or localized tenderness at injection sites can occur and typically settle on their own. For the best results, stay upright for at least 4 hours, avoid rubbing or pressing the treated areas and follow your personalized instructions from your Pearl provider.

Contact Pearl at (561) 334-2921 if you notice bruising or swelling that worsens, drooping of the eyelid or brow, or anything that concerns you. Call 911 or seek emergency care right away for difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing, or for widespread muscle weakness.

    Xeomin® Safety and Risks

Xeomin® is a prescription treatment that requires a qualified medical assessment and appropriate administration. Possible side effects include injection-site discomfort, bruising, headache, eyelid or brow drooping and, uncommonly, dry eye or flu-like symptoms. Like other botulinum toxin products, Xeomin® carries a warning that its effect can spread beyond the injection area, which may cause symptoms hours to weeks after treatment, including loss of strength, blurred or double vision, hoarseness, or difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing — seek medical care immediately if these occur.

Treatment is not appropriate if you are allergic to incobotulinumtoxinA or any ingredient in the product, or if you have an infection at the planned injection site. For complete information, review the official Xeomin® prescribing information through the FDA's Drugs@FDA database and ask your treating provider for guidance specific to you.

    Neuromodulators

    Xeomin® vs. Botox® vs. Dysport®

Xeomin®, Botox® and Dysport® are different botulinum toxin type A products, all used to soften dynamic expression lines. None is universally better. The right choice depends on your anatomy, treatment area, desired outcome, provider assessment and how you have responded in the past.

    Xeomin®

A highly purified formulation with accessory proteins removed, leaving only the active ingredient.

Who performs Xeomin® injections at Pearl Med Spa?

How many units of Xeomin® will I need?

    +

There is no single number that is right for everyone. Your provider recommends a dose after an in-person assessment of the treatment area, muscle strength and activity, facial anatomy, previous treatment response and your goals. Units are product-specific, so your provider plans your dose rather than converting it from another brand.

How long does Xeomin® take to work?

Our approach focuses on individualized dosing and strategic placement designed to soften lines while preserving appropriate facial movement. Your provider will discuss the look you prefer during your consultation; results vary from person to person.

    Is there downtime after Xeomin®?

    +

Most patients return to normal activities right away. Small bumps, mild redness, swelling or occasional bruising at injection sites are possible and typically settle quickly.

What are the possible side effects and risks?

    +

Common temporary effects include redness, swelling, bruising, headache or tenderness at injection sites. Less commonly, eyelid or brow drooping can occur. Rarely, the effect can spread beyond the injection area; seek medical care right away for difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing, or muscle weakness. Review the official Xeomin® prescribing information and discuss your individual risks with your provider.

How should I prepare for a Xeomin® appointment, and what aftercare is needed?

    +

Tell your provider about all medications, supplements, health conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, recent dental work and previous injectable treatments. To help minimize bruising, avoid excessive alcohol and unnecessary blood-thinning supplements beforehand, but do not stop prescription medications without speaking with your healthcare provider. After treatment, stay upright for at least 4 hours, avoid rubbing, pressing or massaging the treated areas and avoid tight hats or pressure on those areas right after treatment. Follow your personalized instructions and contact Pearl with any concerns.
