How Many Units of Botox Do You Need?

Botox is measured in units, and the number you need depends on the area, your muscle strength and the result you want. Here is how providers think about dosing.

    Typical ranges by area

Every face is different, but common starting ranges are roughly 10–30 units for forehead lines, 15–25 units for frown lines between the brows, and 6–12 units per side for crow's feet. Masseter treatment and neck bands often use more.

These ranges are general guidance. Your provider will recommend a dose after assessing your anatomy and goals.

What affects how many units you need

Muscle strength, the depth of existing lines, how much movement you want to keep, and whether you have had Botox before all influence dosing. Stronger muscles generally need more units.

    How pricing works at Pearl

Pearl Med Spa prices Botox per unit, with tiered pricing from $10 to $13 per unit, so you pay for what is actually used. Visit our Botox cost page for current tiers.

    Starting conservatively

Many patients prefer to start with a conservative dose and adjust at a follow-up. This supports natural-looking results that preserve expression.
