IPL vs Laser for Sun Damage

Both IPL and lasers use light energy, but they work differently — and that affects which concerns they address best.

    IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

IPL uses a broad spectrum of light to target pigment and visible redness. It is commonly used for sunspots, freckling and uneven tone, often with minimal downtime.

    Lasers

Lasers use a single, focused wavelength. Non-ablative lasers like ClearLift address tone and texture with little downtime, while resurfacing lasers like Erbium address more advanced sun damage and texture with more recovery.

    Choosing between them

Skin type, the depth of damage and how much downtime you can plan for all matter. Some plans use both at different stages.
